Having worked with Progressive Design Build before on five previous remodeling projects, Progressive was the trusted choice for this homeowner’s sixth major remodel—a beautiful and serene master suite renovation.

Challenge

This couple was looking to ditch the dark, dated maroon marble that dominated their master bathroom and replace it with a clean, modern design. They were also interested in replacing the sizeable jacuzzi-style tub and tub deck with a beautiful, modern soaker tub.

Solution

This new master suite design began with a careful selection of materials, cabinetry, and flooring that took on the lifestyle and identity of the homeowners. The design started with a new stone floor that was chosen to complement the common-area stone throughout the home. We added a white shaker-style vanity that was topped with beautiful white quartz countertops to give the bathroom clean, understated elegance. The vanity was adorned with satin nickel hardware, three glass contemporary wall sconces, and new framed mirrors in matching cabinetry trim. By upgrading the electrical from recessed to LED lighting, we were not only able to modernize the space but improve the home’s energy efficiency.

To further accent the space around the new soaker tub, Progressive Design Build designed a spa-inspired pebble mosaic floor that blended beautifully with the surrounding marble floor. The old shower was completely transformed with all new plumbing and a functional niche for shower essentials. Near the tub, Progressive designed a comfortable seating bench complete with ample storage.

The master bedroom was updated with all new dark hardwood flooring, and the old sliding glass doors were replaced with hurricane impact doors for added safety and peace of mind.
