Boston urban micro-apartment 62

Micropolis is a newly renovated apartment building located in Boston's Beacon Hill. Reverse Architecture designed the renovations for 20 micro-apartments and decorated 2 model units (one shown here). All of the apartments are under 300 square feet. The fundamental elements of living are made stylish, flexible and functional in these compact spaces.

The living space and bedroom are one, but clever furniture placement creates different areas within the compact open plan. The restored brick wall is an original chimney in this building from the mid-1800's.

Masonry stars used on the exterior of the building to reinforce the walls are used to decorate the interior brick. LED cove lights was the textured surface from a recess above.

The dramatic horizontal lines of the kitchen reach out toward the living area. The cabinets have an Italian laminate face with raised wood grain texture.
