The client wished to update her kitchen by painting cabinets. She wanted to bring in a modern country style. The upper cabinets were painted a light grey while the lower painted a constrasting dark grey and steel blue. New hardware was also added. A new glass mosaic backsplash was added along with a new sink and faucet. Accessories like the antique writing desk to act as an island, constrasting red carpet and taking the doors off one bank of cabinets, industrial stools add to bring in the style the client was seeking. Overall, the kitchen and dining area have a new feel on a limited budget. The lesson in this project is to never underestimate the power of paint.
