This project is located in a classic two story brick storefront building. The project is in the upper level and re-imagines how the existing floor plan works.

To maximize the volume of the addition, the ceiling extends to the roof peak. Collar ties hold the two sides of the roof together and in this case function has light fixtures. The asymmetrical ceiling profile increases the sense of perspective depth.

Large doors function as windows to the west and overlook and exterior roof deck garden. This deck is the primary exterior space as the building "fills" the lot.

The master bathroom is tucked into a formal tiny bedroom. The vanity is short and the sink sits on the top of the vanity to decrease the mass of the vanity. Even the sink faucet is built into the wall in order to save space.
