Cambridge Renovation
S+H Construction is pleased to be recognized by the Cambridge Historical Commission’s Fifteenth Annual Preservation Recognition Program for their renovation work on a 120 year old home in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
One of nine homes honored during the festive evening, the project was a whole house interior and exterior renovation that took the team at S+H Construction along with the architectural firm of Charles Myer & Partners of Cambridge nearly a year and a half to complete. Exterior details were preserved and restored, new windows with historically-correct details to match were installed, and stonework on the façade was matched and applied.
The annual Cambridge Preservation Recognition Program, inaugurated in 1997 by the Historical Commission, celebrates outstanding historical preservation projects and honors property owners who conserve and protect the city’s architecture. Held at Story Chapel, in Mount Auburn Cemetery on May 25th, 2011, the honorable David Maher, Mayor of the city of Cambridge presented the awards.
