With a fresh take on New England carriage house vernacular, Lisa Tharp blurs the line between indoors and out for this entry and multi-purpose dining room / library. She carried the exterior bluestone walkway right in through the front door, and juxtaposed a handblown Murano chandelier above for "rough/luxe" contrast. Custom elements include her designs for a wall of sliding barn doors, a 10' dining table (equally at home hosting large dinner parties, arts and crafts or quiet study) and rope-hung lanterns.
