Turret + Stone

With grounds designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of landscape architecture, this stone and shingle carriage house is being thoughtfully restored and expanded as a primary residence. Scope encompasses complete renovation of original 19th century structure, with its two-story turret. A significant addition overlooks new stone terrace and pool, including large family room, entertainment/ home office space over new garage bays, and rear kitchenette.

Lisa's kitchen design includes a massive 17' island, the dining half of which detaches to roll closer to the fireplace. Tall steel pantry doors flank the arched cooking alcove. Her custom built-ins compliment antique castle doors and stone floors from Europe, exposed ceiling beams and chalky plaster— all which elevate the interior design palette in signature luxury + simplicity style. Window seats and cozy nooks abound. This special project is the result of close collaboration with our client, TMS Architects and Jordan Brothers Construction.
