Previously the walls in this great room were orange and loud. While the lighting and the ceiling height could handle the bossy color, the new homeower didn't want to. We found two rich browns with the fireplace painted the darker of the two and the lighter color added to the ceiling steps. Now...

This butler pantry origianally had strips on the upper wall a solid matching green below the chair rail. Now it is the same color as the hallway that divides the kitchen from the pantry and dining room. The space looks bigger with the color flow. Color Redesign

The shimmer of the rich aqua shower curtain inspired the homeowner to go with a rich stone gray color (Benjamin Moore's Ozark Shadows). photos by Color Redesign.

This homeowner wanted a bit of change to her existing taupe walls. We adjusted the color to loose some of the pink undertones and accented the wall between the living and dining areas with a similar color a shade darker. It has a welcoming impact when you walk through the front door.

Using the homeowners exisiting, and remaining, decor items a taupe with less purple undertones and a little darker was a perfect fit to make the space a little warmer.

The main taupe color is carried down the hallway to the master bedroom. A muted purple lures you down the hallway for a closer gaze.

This room was over powered by the brick fireplace. By changing the color to a neutral color with medium depth, Pashmina, and painting the gold firebox trim black the brick is balanced and less prominent.

The foyer, York Gray, and the family room, Pashmina, create a flow by looking similar to accommodate the lighting in each area. Pashmina was too dark for the adjoining stairway and hallway but York Gray transitioned the other nearby rooms (kitchen and dining).

Ozark Shadows added a rich warm gray to the walls to go with the different bedding possibilities in this guest room.

Color Redesign

Timeless neutral was the request for this busy family room. A medium depth gray with warmer undertones connected the tan in the carpet with the gray in the sofas.

The living room was the last main floor room needing an update and had to tie in with the connected foyer and dining room colors. A gold based tan was changed to a deeper taupe, Benjamin Moore Stardust, to create a rich, lingering, inviting space for a room previously rarely used.
