Exterior Paint

Roof and brick or stone color usually do not change. That leaves shutters, doors and siding to bring an exterior to tie in pleasing colors.

The homeonwer wanted to switch the stark white trim to a color that looked more like the surround stone. The trick was to not end up with a purple undertone. I helped my client find the 'perfect' color to create a seamless look.

The original shake, repaired siding and new addition to this 1903 farmhouse needed an updated makeover for the homeowner's and their family.

This 1800s home had additions, like a two car garage and breezeway that needed unifying to the original home is a historic town. Benjamin Moore Coriander Seed AF-110,Simply White OC-117 and Fossil AF-65 completed the task.

The windows on this 1800s home have a built in 'valance' around the windows. They were a sage green before. Now they are off white (Fossil AF-65) to softly offset the window trim (Simply White OC-117). The siding is Coriander Seed AF-110.

Before the stucco cast a pink tone that did not harmonize with the brick and stone surrounding it.

A new color was chosen to coordinate the window trim and the brick. Because the sun had faded some windows on other parts of the house, they were not being painted, and only one color was wanted for painting, i recommended a color that would shift with the varying window trims.

The fascia on the deck was wood and the railing posts are man made so a stain did not blend the two surfaces. The doorwall trim factored into the color selection to create a coheisive color flow.

After the stucco pink cast is gone and ties in with the new fascia and deck color.

The small windows were lost before they were trimmed the same color as the fascia and soffits. Now they add highlight detail to the second story of the home.

The wood trim was painted to resemble the stone color so prominate on this side of the house. The trick was to find an aged color that did not read too gray or pink with the color strength of the brick located next to the stone.
