Complete Backyard/Pool Remodel

This backyard lacked shade, seating, and function. With the creation of this outdoor room, and redesigning the pool deck, this backyard was transformed into a perfect place for family and entertaining. A beautiful 12' granite bbq was also created in an arch design to complement the architecture of the Tuscan house.

BEFORE...The homeowner's requested an outdoor room with plenty of shade. They also wanted an outdoor fireplace, bbq with eating area and a place to watch tv.

Here is the outdoor room completed. It was outfitted with lighting and sound.

The original sun deck was so small you could not fit a lounge chair. With a little imagination, sweeping curved stairs were built and stone was placed inside the new coping.

This bbq measures 12 feet. It has an elevated bar for eating and plenty of seating for the family. The bbq side has a sink with hot and cold water, a refrigerator and a lot of prep area.

The fireplace turns on with the flip of a switch. It was raised to be at eye level when you are seated on the cozy sectional.

This view is from the inside of the house where a large window was placed providing a perfect view of the outdoor fireplace.

What was once a useless corner planter, the pool deck was graded and tiled to provide additional seating.

The large plasma tv is housed out of the elements tucked in a perfect niche. The walls on either side of the niche have an arched top to add a decorative showplace for art. The whole structure was custom wired for overhead lighting, sconces, speakers and lighting under the steps.

The newly remodeled pool was tiled with a dark mosaic tile. The new gunite is dark blue with cruched abalone shells imbeded in it. A pour in place coping was installed around the entire pool and sun deck steps.

This backyard was completely redesigned by our owner wo include an outdoor room and large custom bbq. The pool deck was also redesigned to give the homeowners more space to entertain without multiple level changes.
