The custom angled island allows 5' in front of the cooktop and sink for multiple cooks in the kitchen. The island is almost 11' wide. She has always wanted extra tall kitchen windows in the kitchen and it took a lot of planning to make sure that sat in the right place. Linda Parsons

The desk area and pantry are to the left directly off of the kitchen. She found this vintage door which was used for the pantry. We made the door opening the exact size it needed to be to fit the antique door and then added a transom window above so it lines up with the height of the other doors....

The oversized dining room is open to hearth room and kitchen. The clients asked for a wall of windows so I had 8' fixed window panels made with trim panels above which look out onto a rear covered porch. The ceiling detail help to separate the hearth room from the dining room. Linda Parsons

The Owner's salvaged this black walnut wood from the house that was torn down to build this one. He took all of the wood panels off of the walls and ceilings and had it planed into this beautiful wood to make the built-ins, the barn door and the cove crown molding and mantle. Linda Parsons

This custom fireplace is 12' wide. The fireplace is on the right side and the opening on the left is for firewood that can be loaded from the outside directly into the opening with a service door. All of the hardwood was salvaged from a tear down home. Linda Parsons
