This kitchen was dated and tight, originally with lots of soffits and dark colors which made the space feel claustrophobic. By removing the soffits, adjusting the layout and adding in new cabinets and countertops, we turned this small space into a functional kitchen that works better for the homeowners. We added lots of brightness through a soft white cabinetry, and infused warmth in the space by replacing the tile with wood floors, and adding in warm wood accents through the built-in plate rack and shelving. A hand-made neutral tile grounds the space, while the green paint adds a pop of color. The real statement of this kitchen is the gorgeous hood made out of cabinetry.
