Crocus Hill Kitchen

Designing a kitchen remodel in one of the oldest houses in St.Paul meant converting what had been an informal, out of the way space and making it a destination. By engineering away a central bearing wall, the kitchen and sitting area share a light filled, uninterrupted space. With an existing powder room relocated to the former pantry, the space in anchored by a new bay window. Amid trim and built-ins designed to match the period of the house, the regional fir upper cabinets cherished as an antique, were restored to last another 130 years.

The Crocus Hill Kitchen was the winner of the 2012 National Association of the Remodeling Industry- Minnesota Chapter COTY Award for its price category. The NARI Award recognizes excellence in aesthetics, functionality, superior craftsmanship, use of innovative construction materials and techniques, overcoming difficult obstacles, and meeting client needs.
