Removing the main wall, while filling in a secondary opening at the adjacent wall, enables a better circulation flow at the kitchen, entry and living spaces, while bright finishes and natural materials highlight the increased natural light throughout the space.

The new open kitchen features Bosch appliances, soapstone counters and custom cabinetry. Flat front thermofoil low cabinets are balanced by glass upper cabinet doors, creating a contemporary cottage aesthetic at this modern and highly functional space.

The redesign for this compact kitchen enclosed the access opening at the entry vestibule wall, allowing the refrigerator to be relocated to create a greater sense of space and increased countertop space, as well as functional storage.
