Basement Home Theater transforms unused space into a home entertainment space tailored to reflect our clients interests and travels The space was to be casual, fun, and flexible. Strong use of color referenced old movie theaters in a playful way, the curtains are modeled after traditional movie house curtains. The space can be used as a quiet get away, a place to play music, watch movies, enjoy debates with friends, and play games. We defined the experience and space with color and carpet, so you are transformed the minute you open the door to come down into the basement. The hallway to the theater are a gallery featuring photos our clients took visiting many old theaters around the world. A bonus reading niche was carved out under the stairs and offered a place to house the families growing library. Our full design and build services include concept through construction and included all the soft finishes, the carpeting, upholstery, lighting, painting. As with many basement remodels, the project included building new walls, creating places for the theater equipment to be housed, creating easy access to all the utilities, creating storage and adding many of the necessary electrical upgrades, adding AC/Heat, and reworking of existing pipes.
