Deer Path Natural Pool & Gardens

Faced with a severe elevation change that came within a few feet of the rear of the home, this pool design program would require a lot of planning and coordination to artfully place the pool terrace within the slope. Natural granite walls surround the lower dining terrace as well as the pool terrace. The retaining walls were kept at two feet in height so they could also act as seating. Large granite boulders were artfully placed to create a natural aesthetic while creating and supporting planting pockets on what would normally be an unusable slope. The rock garden provided a perfect canvas for seasonal plantings. The lower dining terraces were constructed using random pattern, square cut Pennsylvania bluestone while the pool patio surface is made of tumbled bluestone in a herringbone pattern.
