Mansion in May 2012
Mansion in May 2012 was held at the historic Glynallyn Castle in Morris Township, NJ. Glynallyn is a 32,000 square foot castle that was built in 1913 and modeled after an English Tudor castle. It contains 575 stained glass windows, 16 chimney stacks, gargoyles, terraced gardens, and a vault-ceiling dungeon. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
We revealed a garden tucked in the hillside that had been built in the 1920’s. This garden lay uncovered at the top of the glen with massive circular stone walls and a water feature in ruins. We created a raised irregular bluestone terrace and constructed natural stone furniture to provide an opportunity to relax and enjoy this revitalized space.
We are proud to have been presented with the Tulip Award for Best Garden in Show. The award is given to honor the designers who were chosen as the favorite space among visitors!
Mansion in May is Women's Assocation Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC)'s signature fundraiser and most profitable event having generated over $6 million for Morristown Medical Center since its inception in 1974.
