Charleston, South Carolina was the inspiration for this landscape design. We introduced spacious terraces to allow each level to convey its own feeling. A traditional knot garden was created using boxwood, shade loving perennials, and pea gravel paths. The Walpole Woodworkers wooden gate, herringbone brick patterns, and natural Pennsylvania bluestone inlays are details unique to this client’s taste as well as the architecture of the home. Elements such as Haddonstone & antique urns and benches were methodically placed throughout the property adding charm to each outdoor ‘room'. Lush gardens enhance the meticulous, custom stonework. At the lower garden level, an oval lawn is accentuated with Pennsylvania fieldstone retaining walls.
