Eileen wanted a very casual style that mixed her love of painted furniture, with a big cozy down feather slipcovered sofa and soft and bold paint colors. We gave her a soft warm yellow paint in her open living area and a bright turquoise in her home office, and lemon yellow in her bedroom. A custom roman shade in her office adds another pattern that coordinates with the area rug. We spray painted an old brown office chair tangerine color to add more color to the room. Two bookcases give her open storage to easily access items she works with daily. A small cabinet between the bookcases offers a place to store items she uses less frequently. Crown molding was added to give the room extra detail. Since she has two cats and a dog we gave her all indoor-outdoor area rugs for easy cleanability.
