Elegant Contemporary

At every turn in this desert home, there is a stunning design element to catch the eye. Wood paneling, indirectly lit ceilings, stone walls, glass flooring with lighting below, glass stair treads, disappearing TV's, and indoor-outdoor showers along with beautiful, classic furnishings work together to create beauty and excitement. Pocketing or accordion folding glass doors move aside to open the rooms up to huge, multi-use patio that feels like a resort, overlooking Scottsdale and Phoenix.

Rich earthy tones, and bringing in the exterior ledgestone to this master bedroom give it a strong, desert presence. The round swiveling chase gives a perfect place to enjoy the pocketing window walls in the corner (not shown) which open up to the pool patio and beautiful distant views.

This minimalist guest bath with fully tiled walls is made more interesting by the use of stainless steel channels set between each horizontal row of wall tile. Because it continues through the glass shower walls, the shower seems almost invisible.

Having 2 islands in a kitchen gives extra work space and storage, as well as a place for friends and family to gather. We like to keep the upper cabinets to a minimum, which gives a more clean, open feeling to the kitchen.

The background of this home is all "desert neutral", which allows our clients' colorful glass and canvas art to take center stage. The doors across the entire front of the great room fold away to open the room to the patios outside.
