High on a desert hill overlooking Carefree and Scottsdale, this home is designed on a radius, so that every room is on an outside wall with incredible views. Upon entering the front door, the eye is lead straight through the house and over the negative-edge pool to the sky and the desert floor. Tall windows are a striking feature in every space. Our client loves color - bright, cheery color, which lead us to design exciting geometric area rugs in every space, setting the scene for the furnishings in each room. (The floors are all colored concrete.) A salt water aquarium sits in a thick wall between the great room and the powder room, which can be enjoyed from either side. Because the house is built on a curve, many of the custom pieces of furniture are also on a radius, such as the lighted console table behind a curved custom sofa in the great room.
