Elkader Remodel
This was the second home Monica Boeckenstedt designed for this client. It sits in the middle of 200 acres of beautiful hills and was intended to be the clients retirement home.
The home owners entertain large groups for events but the home was primarily designed for the couples day to day living.
The kitchen included a large wet bar/ buffet that was designed to not block any of the amazing views but provided room for the client’s antique collections.
The client also asked Monica to design a bar for their garage that would make people stop and say WOW. This was achieved by taking the cabinets up to the 10 foot ceilings, mimicking the materials of the sports car that would be parked next to it and designing around the clients collection of neon signs.
The cabinets are a custom painted black with insets of Chemetal metal graphic laminates in the mouldings and bar panels
