The character of a castle but a kitchen cut off from the entire home just wasn’t going to cut it. Prior to the client moving in, an old brick wall was removed and opened up to a family room that had been added years earlier. Some of the wall was salvaged and the color of the brick was part of the new kitchen color scheme. Even though wall space was at a premium, we were able to get a double oven in, a microwave fit in a bookcase and the 36” cooktop with a pop up vent was located below a window. The clients cook a lot but managed to store everything with room to spare in the lower cabinets.
