Elm worktops are stunning and bring the kitchen to life. It is a timber full of character and the grain is very prominent. Any thickness can be used for a work top but we recommend a 54mm thickness. Once finished and sealed elm work surfaces are very durable and will last for many years even with the wear and tear of everyday use. However, worktops can, if required be lightly sanded and re-oiled if necessary to bring them back to that just new look.
