Rustic Grade Solid Oak Flooring

Rustic grade oak flooring features a variety of knots and small cracks with lots of wild grain patterns along the boards. It is a more ‘lively’ grade than First Quality for example which has a straight clean grain and fewer knots. Often customers are nervous of the fact that there are these natural imperfections in the timber. However, a qualified fitter is able to enhance these features making for a rustic floor. Any knots and small splits are filled with a mix of oak sawdust and glue which totally matches in. This creates a smooth finish, it does not detract but enhances the features within the floor.
