Although we usually specialize in interior painting, when an exterior of a client’s home needs attention, we gratefully oblige!

This home was due for exterior maintenance, as there was heavy peeling and mildew on windows, garage door, shingled chimney and other parts of exterior. Stained wood of the front and back porches were extremely weathered as well and needed some serious attention.

To prep for this project, we pressure washed the porches, siding of home and the garage door and washed the areas with mildew with TSP. After, we scraped peeling paint, sanded these areas to minimize the difference in surface heights, replaced or filled rotten wood and primed exosed wood and patched areas. All trim was hand painted and then masked. All siding was spray painted. We also sanded off dead wood on the back porch, front railing and spindles and applied two coats of clear stain by hand. Quality finish is invariably the goal in every project. So we made sure to use the right tools on the job site, like Festool Dustless Electric Sander to bring the wood back to life.

Using the right equipment for safe ladder placements to gain access to roof peaks and other hard to access areas was key in this project, as safety alway comes first!

We finished the job on time and on the budget, which resulted in a very pleased client!
