This bathroom would only be used by two girls and one boy as a children's bathroom. We had to consider not only their occasionally untidy behaviours when deciding on the design but also had to make sure it didn't look too pretty or too boyish. Parents were adamant that their children were not using the bathtub and would want extra space and storage.
We utilised Universal Jaipur tiles for the floor, which have subtle ethnic designs in earthy tones and an old and rustic appearance. Their gorgeous design not only added a distinct personality but is also incredibly functional in that it does not immediately show spills, hair, or dirt. This, paired with the gun metal fittings, made the bathroom unpretentious and timeless enough for children to use as they grew up.
