This hallway transformation shows how subtle changes can make a big difference. Wherever possible, existing pieces were kept and reworked — including the artwork and refurbished cabinetry — allowing the space to retain its character while feeling refreshed and more intentional.

The most noticeable change was replacing the carpet with timber flooring, which instantly lifted the space and brought warmth and continuity through the hallway. Shutters were added to soften the light and add texture, while a carefully chosen chair creates a simple focal point at the end of the space. By bringing everything together through a considered colour palette, the hallway now feels calm, cohesive, and well connected to the rest of the home.
