The homeowners wanted to replace this section of kitchen cabinet with something that would be more functional for the space. Being a small space it had to serve many purposes. On the kitchen side it has drawers to store silverware and other kitchen items and on the living room side it has a slide out top section to store a record player and records below. The top is made from hard maple and finger jointed at the edge to allow it to be folded up as a table top. It looks great both up and down. This is a great example of form and function.
