Formal Round Hill Compound

Classic and modern meet seamlessly in the interiors of this Georgian colonial. Because the owners prefer cozy rooms with lots of layering, I used a variety of textures—from grass cloth to silk—to add depth to each space and appointed each room, down to books and artwork. I chose to feature contemporary artworks, modern fixtures, and tailored upholstery details throughout to counteract the classicism of many of the European-sourced antiques. A client directive was to incorporate the steely blue color throughout, which I did by alternating the shade to suit the room. Overall, the palette reoccurs throughout, helping to tie together each separate space in the expansive home.
