FP kitchen remodel

By removing a hallway and pantry closet, and enlarging a small powder room, this new kitchen now works as a great space to prepare meals and entertain guests.

Before
BEFORE: Essentially a galley kitchen, this space had a compact working area and limited cabinet storage. The homeowners wanted to upgrade to a kitchen they could entertain in.

By removing a pantry closet, a hallway, and re-orienting the powder room, we were able to provide enough space for this big kitchen island. Separate areas for food prep and cleanup make this a comfortable place for two chefs.

BEFORE: Seating at the dinette was moved to an island breakfast bar to allow for the new kitchen cabinets and counter top to flow into the space under the windows at right.

The enlarged space provides room for food prep and entertaining, while the island does double duty as a breakfast bar and storage area.
