This large scale residential design project combines areas of outdoor dining, relaxation and edible landscaping. Hardscape elements of steel, concrete and stone create a cohesive contemporary outdoor living space for family, friends, and visiting relatives.

A shaded concrete entry staircase leads to the guest cottage from the main outdoor living area, surfaced with permeable pavers. Gabion retaining walls form terraced planting beds on either side of the sand finished concrete steps. A rusted steel fence supports a powder coated hand rail on the left.

Integrated outdoor fireplace + wood storage features are arranged along a Gabion retaining wall at the edge of a decorative permeable-paver patio. Concrete stairs lead to the cottage above, and orchard trees are planted in the terraced hillside beyond.
