Front Walk Way and Walk Out Patio with Fire Pit
This project involved two issues. first a water problem and second a aesthetics/function problem. This involved the removal of the existing concrete at both the front entrance and back patio. The concrete in both instances was sinking and cracking because of drainage issues. In the front, a previous home owner had tried using mud jack to raise the walk back up and had calked the cracks in the back yard to fix the issues. We excavated everything out to get down to the suitable soil that would compact. Brought in crushed concrete in for both. We then built up our base and had a solid foundation to start laying the pavers. The client chose a three piece combination for the field and chose a holland stone soldier course style for the border. We extended the two existing walls in the back to drain water away from the house as wells as form seating areas for the fire pit. This project finished just in time for the high school graduation party.
