The major renovation of this 1500sf 100-year old brick house, located in Toronto's High Park neighbourhood includes structural repairs, upgrades to all systems, increased thermal performance and updated interiors. Closed-cell water-based foam sprayed on the inside face of the load-bearing brick structure and roof makes the house air tight and more than quadruples pre-renovation insulation levels. A high-efficiency boiler provides heat for new compact radiators as well as domestic hot water. A new interior layout accommodates the needs of the occupants without the expense and complication of building a new addition.
