The Gilbert Home was a new construction project. I started with the clients after the basic layout was decided and from there we chose flooring materials, cabinetry, granite, tiles, and light fixtures. Then we started with the furnishings and finished with the last accessory. The clients wanted a transitional look and wanted the home to reflect the Arizona setting. We combined medium tone woods with lighter flooring materials, then accented with reds, burnt oranges and sage greens. The clients love for artwork made that selection extremely personal. We found local artists and worked with them to find pieces with which the client felt a connection. The lamps, accessories and accent pillows were chosen to compliment the color palette.
