Gravel Courtyard
A formal and traditional gravel patio with a central bluestone patio for dining and surrounded by low boxwood hedges was created to become a transitional space. The garden is located in a niche between a loggia and a sunroom and leads out to a walk from a larger raised patio. This outdoor room needed to work from both interior vieww as well as being able to stand on its own. Bird motifs throughout the architecture on the 1920s American Tudor home informed and inspired the design.
