Remodeling this hall bathroom was the task that the designer was given. The Mexican tile, lower outdated cabinetry, faux finish, lighting, plumbing fixtures and shower doors were replaced with modern selections in keeping with the rest of the home’s organic contemporary look. Maintaining the existing footprint and plumbing locations was important to keep the integrity of the existing Saltillo floor tiles intact. The sleek plumbing fixtures and stone tile detail of the backsplash and shower surround mimics the kitchen finishes and fixtures adjacent to the bathroom. In addition, the walls were retextured with a smooth finish, recessed lighting and updated ventilation system.
