This new construction home, situated in a dramatic mountain setting surrounded by the Sonoran desert, inspired the entire design team to create a space that represented the best of a destination resort combined with the client’s own personal touches. Contemporary architectural details were blended seamlessly with the rustic and highly textured finishes, similar to those seen throughout the desert landscape. Upon entering the house, the Great Room provides a first glance at the casual elegance seen throughout the residence. While each space has its own uniqueness, the continuity between them is found in fabrics and finishes of like palettes in varying textures. The drastic ceiling height change is accented by hand hewn beams, providing an intimate space for the living and dining areas. A retreat for extended family and friends alike, this turnkey residence has all the amenities to move right in and feel instantly at home.

In order to take full advantage of all views, from the majestic mountain landscape, to the bright rolling golf course and twinkling city lights in the distance, the location of this new home was fundamental in the planning process. A picture-perfect outdoor living scene is further created by blending classic southwestern hues, finishes and textures with contemporary architectural details. Furniture arrangement, style and color were kept simple to not compete with the panoramic views and to provide flexibility while entertaining. Pops of terracotta, gold and copper draw your eye from the half-moon sectional to the chaise lounges by the pool. All these elements come together forming a seamless backdrop for a variety of outdoor gatherings.
