A renovation in Hillsboro, VA in which has original fundamentals dating back to 1793. This home is just under 30 years older than the oldest standing house in DC, the "Old Stone House" of 1765. We are fascinated by the hard work that is reflect on the details of this house, and we believe it offers viewers a unique piece on historical preservation. It demonstrates good old American craftsmanship at its finest. Some of the unique man made structures in this home include:

Front of home after renovation. The original doorway was so low you almost had to crouch to get into the house. The door was raised to be aligned to the top of the windows. This side of the open family room, has a stone fireplace, that goes to the ceiling. I large natural wood mantel was added. The floors are heart of pine. Custom double pane windows were added to match the historic structure.
