Just as the layout was designed with symmetry being a main concern, the materials were selected with balance in mind. The cabinets are lacquered with “Dove Wing”, a slightly off-white shade from Benjamin Moore so as not to be too sterile. The cooler, sharper lines of the painted carpentry marry with the warm streaming movement of the Brazilian rosewood floors. The glass backsplash and countertop achieve the effect in the sense that they juxtapose motion and boldness with delicacy and elegance, while both introducing the modern feel of polished glossy surfaces to the whole. The stainless steel finishes the kitchen with modern attractiveness.
