A hot tub can be a great addition to almost any backyard. It’s a great place to relax, and it can make an enticing aesthetic -- after all, it is a water feature.
And, it’s a water feature that doesn’t require tearing up your yard. That said, there are a few tips to consider when evaluating where and how to position your spa.
Obviously, the most important thing is making sure that you have enough space in your yard.
Check your area’s building codes to determine how far away a hot tub must be from your home. Some areas require a hot tub be at least five feet away from your home and from your property lines, for example.
That said, aesthetically, it may be wise to allow more room than that, depending on the shape of your yard, deck, patio, etc.
