Often homeowners, and sometimes designers, are not aware of the design choices available for control of systems in a home. This project was a retrofit, so it used existing switch locations. Most of the walls were white, so the colors are fairly straightforward. But it does show that there are numerous options to be able to upgrade the look and functionality of any home.
