River Oaks Showroom

While we love working with interior designers on customer projects, the design of this space was done in house. The space was an original 1930's home that had been converted into an art gallery. Being mostly an open, white space; the rooms had to be defined and finished out. Incorporating designer elements into projects is something that we put as a top priority.

The listening room at the Waugh showroom is an exercise in creating a high end listening space in a small room. Many people have small rooms or dens that would be perfect for a listening lounge.

Various techniques are used to enhance the design and the acoustics in what would typically be considered a challenging room. The style and design were matched to some of the iconic equipment, and vice versa.

A brick wall and slatted ceiling replace the job of acoustic panels that some would find unappealing.

Pushing the design boundaries, another small space is transformed into a private theater. A popular, local street artist is hired to paint panels that are used as baffles and art in the space.

Architectural or traditional speakers can be used, depending on homeowner preference. Once installed, everything is designed to give a cohesive look and feel to the space.

Have a drink. Speakers, control, and even the beverage coolers were designed to be hidden in a space where other things are supposed to take center stage.
