This small guest bathroom was all about marrying natural elements and art. The dimensional tile and clear glass door are reminiscent of the water used in the shower. The Black and Gold Marinace granite counter looks as if you are looking into a creek bed and is carried through in the faux stone knobs. The bamboo wood grain and twig ironwork mirror bring in the natural feel of trees and wood. Pocket doors at either end opened the space to feel much larger than previous swinging doors allowed. The sleek, clean lines are a perfect backdrop for artwork such as the homeowner's glass sculpture. This bathroom won the Merit Award in the Central Virginia NARI CoTY Awards for 2015.
