This small basement bath needed to be opened and brightened. We used a gloss bisque tile on the walls and ceiling to reflect light, a subtle striped tile on the floor and back wall to add texture, and removed the shower enclosure to expand space. The whole room is water resistant, with just a glass panel to protect water from leaving the room. We custom made a PVC closet door, as it is in direct line of shower spray. We added storage with a teak outdoor cabinet above the toilet. This Bathroom won First Place in the Central Virginia NARI CoTY Awards for 2015.
