Kenmore Mid-Century Renovation

In 2022, Considered Space, LLC undertook an extensive remodel of an original 1969 mid-century home in Kenmore, WA. Structurally, the home was sound with a large property and gorgeous views of Lake Washington and Inglewood Golf Club. That said, the home was compartmentalized, with significant rot, mold, and dated finishes. We completely reimagined the space for today's families. All work was engineered, permitted and approved by the City of Kenmore.

The dining area was cramped and cut off from other rooms in the house. We removed walls on both sides to engage the space with both the kitchen and living areas. A new custom crafted light fixture was added and walnut flooring connected all three spaces.

This patio was in reasonable shape, but had a large cavity underneath it, putting pressure on the concrete foundation. We engaged Slab Jack to fill in the space underneath, cleaned it up and built a new and safe privacy fence with horizontal cedar planks.
