The existing kitchen required major updating, yet at the same time needed to preserve its aesthetic as an all white kitchen. The first approach was to replace a small window with glass doors to open up the room to the outside and connect it to the new terrace and garden design. We then made the cabinetry appear as part of the wall, rather than appearing as an attachment. By unifying the walls and cabinetry, the irregular shape of the room became more cohesive. Currently, there is a clear distinction between the solid edges and the open volume of space. It is now a perfect place to highlight the decorative hanging light.
