The ground floor of the house was visually cut off from the rear yard, and the kitchen was outdated. The design removes the back wall, adds a one-storey addition and creates a single kitchen and family room area, with maximum window opening to the re-landscaped rear yard.
The flat roof of the addition provides a deck area for the second floor.
The scope of work included repairing, replacing and the ground floor finishes. The new trim matches the existing and helps to unify the interior design.
