Leschi Remodel
Our Owner's made a bold decision in the conceptual phase before their remodel began. They would preserve the exterior character of their Leschi waterfront home, even as apartment buildings spring up all along the street. This decision turned their remodel focus to the interior, and the outcome is nothing short of jaw-dropping. A narrow galley kitchen - with an oddly located office room off it - hampered the functionality and openness of the existing layout. Through extensive structural work, the final design eliminated the veritable web of walls, tripled the size of the kitchen, and highlighted the stunning lake views. Finishing the attic space into a crafting and play room further transformed the home into one which meets all the Owner’s needs. The remodeled space now carries its beholder seamlessly from the masterfully designed, state-of-the-art kitchen, through the wall of full height windows, out onto the bucolic waterfront patios.
