A 1970's kitchen gets a modern makeover!
If we can unearth some before photos, the 1000 words they will tell may give some idea of how transformative this project was! Partition walls enclosed this 11' x 12' kitchen and the dark 1970's era cabinetry made the room feel even smaller. The top half of the walls were removed, opening the kitchen up to the dining and living rooms in an open-concept design. The lower halves remained to support a new eating bar above the L shaped counter that had previously been unused space. Soffits above upper cabinets were removed to allow full-height uppers in their place. Warped floor joists were planed in preparation for the new tile floor, custom cabinetry, and new stainless appliances.
